I am an English Teacher living here in Japan. I've been teaching English to Japanese students for about 4 years now. Free conversation is my preferred way of teaching but I can also teach a student using a lesson plan if requested. I make my students feel more comfortable. I tell them that making mistakes is ok. English is a wonderful language. It's not just a subject that you need to pass in school. It's a tool for communicating with different people around the world
